Sarah G. Buitrago is dedicated to helping families through the complexities of family law. She adeptly handles cases involving divorce, custody, property settlements, premarital agreements, and other domestic relations issues. In addition, Sarah has a particular passion for assisting families in matters involving children with special needs, attentively navigating the additional complexities these cases present. As the spouse of an active-duty service member, Sarah brings a unique personal perspective to her work with military families. Her approach is marked by empathy and expertise, making her a trusted advisor in these complex situations.

She has been honored as a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and named a "Rising Star" in Family Law by Super Lawyers. Virginia Business Magazine has listed her among Virginia's "Legal Elite" in Family Law, and she has been acclaimed as a "Top Lawyer" by Coastal Virginia Magazine. Furthering her professional development, Sarah was selected for a prestigious two-year mentorship with the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, benefiting from the guidance of seasoned Virginia Academy Fellows. She is also an active member of the I’Anson Hoffman American Inn of Court and participates in various sections and committees of the Virginia Bar Association and Virginia State Bar. Currently, Sarah serves as the Chair of the Wellness Committee for the Virginia Beach Bar Association.

When she is not in the office, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two kids. She is passionate about strength training and wellness, pursuits that keep her grounded and focused both in her personal life and professional endeavors.
