Christopher A. Pocta is experienced in handling a wide array of real estate and transactional matters in Virginia including residential and commercial real estate, business formation and litigation, landlord/tenant matters, civil litigation, drafting contracts and litigating contract disputes. Chris joined the team at Wolcott Rivers Gates to focus specifically on matters pertaining to real estate, zoning, land use, and related legal considerations. He has personally handled over 250 of these matters to include the representation of purchasers, sellers, and lenders. Since beginning his law practice in 2016, Chris has been invited to speak to local business associations on areas pertaining to real estate, business organization, and related estate planning considerations.
As a native of Hampton Roads, Chris and his family are long-standing members of the local Catholic community and belong to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandbridge. Chris and his wife are engaged in multiple ministry efforts while Chris serves on the board of an international missionary organization.
When he is not in the office or the courtroom, Chris enjoys surfing and snowboarding with his two daughters, Grace (9) and Harper (6), and spending time with his wife and friends. Chris and his wife are expecting their third child and first son this May.
