Katherine G. Coltrain was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. She has worked in the legal field since graduating from Longwood University in 2014. After college she started as receptionist in the legal field, working her way up to legal assistant, and knew then that she had found her calling. She started to pursue a law career then and graduated from Liberty University School of Law in 2019.
After law school, Katherine served as a prosecutor in two different counties. She handled a variety of criminal cases ranging anywhere from misdemeanor DUI’s to felony violent crimes. These to include complex felony cases, multiple juries, and numerous bench trials. One of her many accomplishments is prosecuting a DUID Marijuana jury trial and her experience understanding the technical aspects of these cases.
As a prosecutor, she was able to cultivate her passion for justice in the criminal law system and sharpen her negotiation and trial skills in the courtroom. Through those experiences, she now specializes in criminal defense cases to include DUI and reckless driving tickets. You can count on her to know what the other side is thinking and get you the best outcome for your case.
Katherine still resides on the Peninsula and in her spare time, she can be found on the golf course practicing her swing or hanging out on the back porch with her husband and two dogs, espresso martini in hand.
